Asylum Seekers Centre Employment Assistance Program
The Employment Assistance Program connects adult asylum seekers with paid work and volunteering opportunities in the work place. We work with asylum seekers who are living in the community on Bridging Visas and who have been granted the right to work by the Federal government. Asylum seekers are not eligible for government funded job assistance schemes or welfare benefits. The ASC Employment Assistance Program fills a necessary gap, raising awareness of a very capable pool of employees.
The Employment Assistance Program has two teams: Our candidates:
Live in the community on Bridging Visas with full work rights
Our service to employers We invest significant resources in each placement to ensure it is successful and meets the needs of the workplace/employer. Our Employer Relations Consultants are available to meet with you to understand your organisation’s recruitment, volunteering and corporate social responsibility needs. They are able to answer any questions you have regarding employing clients on Bridging Visas.
