Such a space has been deemed necessary by the severely restricted opportunities for the thoughts, experiences, concerns and hopes of asylum seekers to be heard by the general public. The identity of clients, in this section and throughout the website, will be revealed only where permanent residency in Australia has been granted. Any unrestricted public disclosure of asylum seekers’ identities poses unacceptable risks to their personal safety and that of their family members off-shore. Preservation of client confidentiality is amongst our highest duties of care. |
